California Trip-Day 4

Thursday we were just planning on getting up and heading home, but we weren't ready to come back, so we made a few impromptu stops and it turned out to be such a fun day!

First we stopped and picked strawberries.

We almost had to sell our first born son to pay for them, and the strawberries didn't even taste that great, but the experience was worth it!  They were so excited to eat strawberries that they picked themselves.

Then we headed down to La Jolla to "The Children's Pool."  We saw it in a magazine and thought we'd check it out.
Totally worth it, and I would recommend it to anyone!!  There were seals sitting on the beach and swimming around.

There were beautiful views.

You could swim right where the seals were, and the beaches were nice and not too crowded.

The boys loved standing on the end of the pier and getting soaked by the waves.

We had seen the San Diego temple off of the freeway, so we decided to grab some lunch and go have a picnic at the temple.  Is that even allowed?  (One thing I know isn't allowed is peeing on the temple grounds which this 2 year old did before we managed to stop him).

One last family picture to conclude a fabulous family vacation!!
We had such a great time...these are the days I want to last forever!
