Thanksgiving in Oregon

11/27-12/1/13

We were so lucky to be able to go to Oregon for Thanksgiving this year.  This was the first time the boys have spent Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grandpa's house.

Cruz and I left Wednesday afternoon, so we could go up and get a head start on cooking with my mom.  I was so worried Cruz was going to lay down in the airport and refuse to move.  I had him pull his own bag, and he actually did great!

There was that one moment when he was tired of waiting to get on the plane.  He tried to make a scene, but I ignored him with only a few accusing looks.

He loved the plane ride.

And of course the first thing he did when we got there was get out the legos.

The sun was shining, and he got in some jumping too.

He got to help Grandma in the kitchen.

Aaron and the other boys came the next morning, and they got to fly on a Cars plane!!

In the air, Zander looked down and spotted Crater Lake.  What a beautiful, clear day.

They headed straight to the trampoline when they got there.

We all helped get ready for dinner and enjoyed the delicious feast!

We got in a walk down to the river to feed the ducks, then went to see the movie Frozen.

The next day we bundled up and went to see the zoo lights.

Friday night Aaron and Matt went to go see Pearl Jam.
The boys played Rails, Roads, and Rivers for the first time.  What memories this brings back.

It wouldn't be a trip to Oregon in the fall without playing in all the leaves!  Love the joy in their little faces.

We ended the trip with some shopping and trip to visit Santa.

So grateful we could go up for this special holiday.  We have so much to be grateful for.  Family being near the very top of the list, and we are grateful for all the family we have and that we see so often!
