Zander's Been a Busy Boy

Zander played basketball this summer through the leisure center.  He said that it's been his favorite sport to play so far.  It was great to watch the progress; the beginning of the summer they had NO CLUE what they were doing, and by the end they had all gotten the hang of it.  During the last game, Zander even made a basket!

This kid LOVES trophies!  He didn't know he was getting one, and so this made his day.  Then when he found out he was the only one on the league who got one for "best dribbler", it pretty much made his year!

At the beginning of the summer we made a list of some fun things we wanted to do before summer was over.  One of the things on Zander's list was to have a car wash.  So he made this picture last week and sent this invitation out to some family.  Yesterday was the big day.

He had a couple customers and worked hard washing and vaccuuming their cars.  He didn't quite get the concept of "free" though; he made sure he asked everyone for a tip.  Aren't kids the best!

He's been a lot of fun lately and a good helper, but he's bored and ready for some routine in his life (or maybe it's just his mom that's ready for some routine).  As he informed me today...15 days until he's a big kindergartner!  Wow!
